Guilds

Saltmarsh is home to two major guilds in Keoland.

The Mariners' Guild

The Saltmarsh Mariners' Guild is the only guild dedicated to mariners, sailors, fisherman, and seafaring adventurers in all of the Saltmarsh Region. Their guildhall is one of the oldest standing buildings in the city, and looks out poetically across the horizon of the Azure Sea.

The Carpenters' Guild

The Carpenters' Guild is dedicated to the fine craftsmenship of woodworking. The guild employs a strong union of carpenters and woodworkers who are always kept busy with a long backlog of orders. They have attracted talent from far and wide due to the many types of woods coming from Keoland's varied forests, such as the Dreadwood, the Silverstand, and the Drowned Forest.

Taverns

The Empty Net

While originally intended for ruffians and smugglers, the Empty Net, owned by Kreb Shenker is a local favorite for all walks of life within Saltmarsh.

The Wicker Goat

A bit more upstanding than its rapscallion counterparts, the Wicker Goat, owned by Lankus Kurrid, is beloved by the loyalists of Saltmarsh. It often gives discounts to members of the Keoland Army.

The Snapping Line

Considered a tourist trap, the Snapping Line is a middle of the road inn and tavern, and a sure place to find foreign adventurers passing through town.

Cultural Points of Interest

The Weekly Market

Aside from its assortment of fresh produce being sold by the local farmers of the area, the Weekly Market hosts a nightly, community dinner at long tables for anyone who wishes to take part.

The Leap

The Leap is a cliff on the outskirts of town where many, such as daring youngsters with something to prove or heartbroken sailors looking for peace, plunge 40 feet into the waiting Azure Sea below.
