With little fanfare or pomp, numerous acts were signed into law giving the Unitarian Party complete and total control over all parts of the government. It is largely recognised that 2265 was the transition year from the First Lordanian Republic into the People's Republic of Lordania.
The Emergency Powers Act of 2263 had already left the nation a republic-in-name only. The Media Blackout of 2264 had ensured the true intent of the state never came to light. In 2265, the Constitution was formally suspended.
