Burst

"Dodge this-"

The second Completed Piece made by Dlisn, and his attempt at making a projectile weapon for the Great Talthorian War. Arguably his most impressive one as Burst can manipulate and be manipulated by SoulEnergy better than most of even the other Completed Pieces. It's relatively unknown what it was made from, but reported to have a wooden appearance, and in the user's hand, it can take the form of several projectile weapons and specifically a walking stick.

The Piece mainly fires a spectrum of magical projectiles to the user's wishes, this can be anything from blasts of fire, explosives, bolts of lightning, gusts of wind, etc. For it to work the user must form the weapon and ammo they want, and then imagine the enchantment that the Piece will automatically apply without further prompt.
Originally it was mostly used as an unstrung bow that would form a drawstring and arrow as the user reached for it, but as years and innovation went on, it was seen as also a crossbow with a magically reloading and appearing bolt and even a pistol with a magically refilling clip.

Strangely, unlike most of the other Pieces, it was widely known to be unable to be wielded or even picked up by just anyone. The user's SoulEnergy had to fully be able to sync with the Ei'tarnium in the Piece. If not, the user will almost immediately BurnOut.

Also unusual, the Piece has not been seen in thousands of years, thought to be either destroyed in the Great Lislander Wars or the Axxel Invasion, it's last reported possibly use, or lost in the century of turmoil afterward.

History

Widely known to be the main and favored weapon of The Hunter throughout the early parts of the Common Burning Era, and was originally thought to be destroyed or lost then along with Scales for nearly a century, but was recovered from within Mount Kartha by a young Adventurer known as the Wanderer.

Significance

Historically was very famous and almost the iconic weapon of The Shards, being used by its Guildmaster (The Hunter) and one of its prodigal young members until its disappearance.
