"General Rakan has betrayed me by leading the Skyknights against me and for this he has died. Too long have the Skyknights held more power than they should and from this moment forward their power and their numbers shall be limited."
History
General Rakan found the actions of then
Emperor Temur Dodai despicable and gathered the
Skyknights to perform a coup. In the end, too many sided with
Emperor Dodai and the rebellion ended in blood. However, this shook
Temur who limited the number of
Skyknights and their powers from that point forward.
Effect
After the reformation there could be no more than eleven wings of
Skyknights and each could have no more than seven members. One of these wings is led by the
Emperor and the other ten are led by captains hand-picked by the
Emperor.
Prior to this reformation, the
Skyknights were limited in number only by the availability of
ketzlat and the groups varied wildly in size, one was as small as three members while another was thirty-one. Each group operated with a high level of independence, though they all respond when the
Emperor calls.
