Sarisa's Letter

Rumored love letter from a villain to a hero.

"Aristus, thanks for coming to the party. You're a real hero you know."
"I-"
"Do you really have the brand like they say? Could you show it to me?"
"Yea-"
"Looks painful. I wouldn't know what to do if I obtained such a mark."
"No-"
"And tell me, man-to-man, is the letter I hear rumors about real? The one with that bandit woman, Sarisa, was it?"
"-"
"Why are you walking away? Nice guy, just a man of few words I suppose."

Only a Rumor

The existence of this letter is only a rumor but a persistent one. Starting from the word of one old Featherman and gaining hold in the public consciousness. If this letter was ever found, Sarisa would lose respect, and probably the leadership, of her bandits and Aristus would lose both his position as an officer and the respect of the people of Burim. One belief is that Aristus has destroyed the letter to protect his position but others believe that he has feelings for her, even now, and has hidden the letter away, too sentimental to burn it. Believers of each story tend to get into heated arguments with the other, this had lead to property damage at many taverns within Burim.
Whenever Aristus is confronted about the letter, he simply denies its existence. When Sarisa is asked or teased about it, she hurts the person who spoke.
