Prince Bel
Bel is reigning Prince of the Ea Syndicate, a powerful narcotics guild operating from Icelus. An enigmatic and powerful figure in the history of Libertas, Bel has appeared for hundreds of years - leading some to credit them with either immortality, or to believe the name is simply a hereditary title.
Bio
They arrived with an entourage of folks who made me nervous. But every eye in the room was on them, not the crowd. Bel's hair drifted along like a cape, flowing, straight as a ruler and a vivid purple that had to be a genesculpt. Their eyes watched me with a calculating intelligence rather like the crows in the zoo.Bel rose to notice soon after colonisation, when they were instrumental in the discovery of vast deposits of precious metals on the small rocky ball that is called Icelus. Bel established Persephone in E2.Y204, settling with private capital, and founded the Ea Syndicate as claimant over Icelus' territory. The legal precedent had been set by the McCabe LCRE in E2.Y198 with the claim over Morpheus, and Bel successfully argued the claim before the Judge Advocate. The result upset many Brass families, but it would cement the Syndicate's wealth and Bel's position of power. Today Bel rules the Ea Syndicate with a strong hand. Though a tough ruler, Bel has earned a reputation as a fair boss. The syndicate has prospered under their leadership, and Persephone has become a haven for the outcasts of Libertan space. Scavengers, mercenaries, illegal genesculpts, and political enemies of The Symposium and Brass families have found Bel their protector.

Bel uses they/them pronouns, but rarely shares their personal identity. The pronouns may simply be a nod to the anonymous nature of the name, and Bel has never strongly given a preference in gender identity.
Relationships
History
Bel has undertaken business with the McCabe family for over five centuries. Connor is the latest in a line of McCabe dynasty heads, and has continued that relationship on good terms.
There are three rules on Persephone. One, honour among thieves. Two, keep your fucking word. Three, don't cross Bel. Those who break the rules usually end up at the bottom of a mine. Those who break rule three end up in pieces at the bottom of a mine.
