the Midnight-One

The mythical co-founder of Brambleberry, husband to Belladonna, and most famous Guardian . The midnight one was a Monster with the head of a bison, arms of a bear body of a scorpion and tail of a snake. Some reports put the midnight-one at 12 to 14 foot tall, thought given the continuation of Midnight-One bloodline in Brambleberry, records suggest 6 to 7 foot tall might be more realistic.
The Midnight-One was said to be surrounded by a great cloak of darkness - scholars are at odds to work out whether this trait was metaphorical or literal as no example of such a passive ability has been seen in any descendants.

The 3 myths

The first and most obvious act to create protection between nature from the expansive tendency of all humanoid species, was the creation of Brambleberry with a goal of building that enhanced biosphere around the town. Records state that this was the last act to be performed before the Midnight-One became favoured by the universe, but this is the easiest record to confirm, as the town is still here to this day, and the image of the Midnight-One plasters the Wall of Remberance in vivid paint.
The second act was the darkening. This was an event where the Midnight-One went to Natare and seeing it lit with so much artificial light, stood beneath the great Sakura tree and combined his cloak of darkness with the magic of the tree, plunging the city into darkness until the city council came to meet him. This event would lead to the council of states and the meeting about light polution in Levis.
The third act was the unclogging of Starfall River. One particularly stormy winter had a tornado clog the entire river, building up a dangerous dam in the river flow. the Midnight-one heard of the mammoth task and spent two weeks to unclog the river and cause it to return to normal.

Two more myths.

Less reliable are other myths surrounding the Midnight-One.
One myth has him battling one of the great monsters of Izdione , his arm ripped off by the monster before he bit its very head off. The myth states that he supported a massive arm of living plant imparted by the universe, though there is no recorded imagery of such a prosthetic.
Another myth has the Midnight-One travelling to the state of Solaris and discussing the migration of the massive horned-bison like creatures that had been stopped by the wall constructed around the state for protection and independance. It is said that the discussion led to a moment where his darkness depowered the wall and the horned-bison broke through the wall, thus creating the location that would eventually become the Infinity Gates .

No matter the myths of the Midnight-One, what is known is that during his time, there was a great turning of the foliad states away from the path of expansion and superiority and a reguiding of the peoples towards being one with the natural order. It is described that when not performing great feats, the Midnight-One was always warm and welcoming, and that he could always be found around large beehives he fostered in nearby trees to his home.
