East Jirithkae
East Jirithkae is the center of industry for the empire. It contains the imperial capital, the largest city, and the most extensive railroad transportation network. It is also the most heavily populated of the four, with people from across the continent living side by side.
Structure
Like the other three Jirithkaen provinces, East Jirithkae is governed by a Sovereign and an provincial senate. The Sovereign of East Jirithkae is elected every ten years and holds the executive power to grant titles, propose laws, and make emergency decisions. However, they can still be outvoted by a senate majority.
History
The territory in the province once belonged to the Jiri Sovereignty. When the nation was combined with the Othkaen Federation after the political marriage of their respective leaders, the land was renamed East Jirithkae.
The provincial government recently went through political upheaval when Sovereign Chalita-Rasri was assassinated. Tamanna Bhave, a high ranking executive at the Hrithik Corporation was arrested and executed for the murder, but many whisper that it was the dead sovereign's successor Anik Dhar who organized the assassination.
Demography and Population
East Jirithkae is the most heavily populated of the four Jirithkaen provinces.
The population is primarily made up of Jirians, but the area attracts people from many other places as well. East Jirithkae has the highest percentage of citizens of non-Jirithkaen descent of any of the four provinces.
The area's population is relatively balanced between large cities and small towns, with slightly more living in urban areas.

Territories
East Jirithkae is one of the more geographically diverse provinces. The western side of the territory is covered by the Scarlet Jungle, while the eastern border is made up of wetlands and rocky coastlines. Between the two are steep hills and sparsely wooded plains.
