West Jirithkae
Despite containing some of the largest and most technologically advanced cities in the empire, West Jirithkae is often considered a wild part of the empire untouched by industry. Jungles cover much of the land, and the province's towering walled off cities are few and far between.
Structure
Like the other three Jirithkaen provinces, West Jirithkae is governed by a Sovereign and a provincial senate. The Sovereign of West Jirithkae is elected every ten years and holds the executive power to grant titles, propose laws, and make emergency decisions. However, they can still be outvoted by a senate majority.
History
The territory in the province once belonged to the Othkaen Federation of city states. When the nation was combined with the Jiri Sovereignty after the political marriage of their respective leaders, the land was renamed West Jirithkae.
Demography and Population
The majority of people in West Jirihtkae are Othkaens or are of Othkaen descent.
Almost all of the inhabitants of the small villages scattered across the province are Othkaen, and often they have lived in their hometowns for generations.
The cities are much more culturally diverse, but Othkaens are still the majority in most areas.

Territories
The western imperial province is covered in thick rainforests and steep hills. The region holds both the impenetrable Kohli's Labyrinth and much of the beautiful and wild Scarlet Jungle.
Trade & Transport
Unlike the neighboring northern and eastern provinces, West Jirithkae has very few railroads.
Most major cities have trains that can transport goods between it and the neighboring provinces, but direct connections between West Jirithkaen cities are few and far between.
Passengers riding a train from one city to another are often forced to travel out into East Jirithkae before being rerouted back west to their destination.
Infrastructure
There is a stark contrast between the infrastructure of villages and cities. Technology and infrastructure in West Jirithkaen cities are the equal to anything in the rest of the empire. Telephone lines run across the province. Electric lights illuminate stores and the homes of the wealthy. High walls and guard towers protect citizens from the surrounding wilderness and the beasts that live within it.
Meanwhile, villages are mostly isolated and can only be reached by foot paths. Wells provide drinking water and indoor pluming is almost nonexistent. If they are fortunate, the village will have a single communal telephone box.
