Hwol: Lord of the undead
Dark energies surround bodies that have not received their burial. These energies flow from Hwol’s plain in the void, and fill vacant bodies to serve as his instruments. Although a soul can never be taken back from the realm it becomes sealed in, the bodies animated by Hwol’s essence still have access to the memories and talents of their hosts.This has not stopped Hwol from allowing mortals to believe of his power to “bring back” a loved one in exchange for service. Often lying by omission that their loved one can actually return to them by vague statements like “bringing back the body of your loved one” or “you shall gaze upon her face again.”
