Ferrathar was once a single nation named Herelin before pieces shattered off by the judgment of the Almighty. He diverged pieces the earth away from the heart of his people. That the heretics living on them would not taint his people with their wicked ways. Each race of said divergent nation, tracing their roots back to their firstborn lineage, now look to be otherwordly peoples, whose appearances have been forever changed by the magic of their gods.
