Isobela di Peron di Cameri
Isobela was once a lady-in-waiting to Duchess Agata Zaal van Cameri, the late Matriarch of House Zaal. She was by all accounts exceedingly loyal to her mistress, and helped to smuggle her out of the city when it fell to the Savuran forces in 1339AK. Sadly the Duchess had been infirm and in generally ill-health for several years, and she died of natural causes in Ysberinge in 1343AK, leaving a substantial fortune to Isobela rather than to her own family.
Suspicion soon fell on Isobela as a result of Duchess Agata's surprising bequeathal - which allegedly included the Ring of Zaal itself - and rumours began to circulate that she was an agent of the Chamber Extraordinary. Afraid for her life, she decided to flee Aldernord, taking the Ring of Zaal and as much money as she could carry - which unfortunately only gave credence to the rumours of her treachery.
Heading for the Savuran border, she met Oneira Athelsdottir some time later; Oneira inducted her into the "Cult of Taynar", and she was transformed into a werefox. The pair of them later met Alana Catarinsdochter, who likewise joined their coven.
By the 5th moon of 1344, they had crossed the Savuran border, but were still being pursued by bounty-hunters led by Edgar Kruger-Ysern, who sought to recapture the Ring of Zaal. This eventually ended in a fatal confrontation between the two groups, in which the werefoxes, aided by a party of adventurers, were able to kill Edgar and the hunters - save for the archer Clarity Merelsdochter, whose life was spared.
Believing that whilst she continued to have the ring, neither she nor the rest of the coven would ever be safe, Isobela sold it to the adventurers. It is thought that following this, she headed to Lith Terrin with the rest of her coven.
