The Whitecloak Siege of 814 ER

Following the events of the failed demon invasion of Roue D'or in 812 ER, a Whitecloak garrison formed outside of the cities walls having been barred from entering decades prior by the Merchant Kings of Roue D'or. Despite many attempts, the soldiers were unable to enter the city due to the entry ban set by the Merchant Kings decades prior. Over the next two years, tensions grew between the Whitecloak garrison and the Tower Mages who patrolled the walls above them. The Whitecloaks believed the Triskelion had purposely summoned the demons with forbidden magic and as such incurred the scrutiny of Whitecloak General Miranda Waley.
In Kotallah of 814, the General Miranda Waley snuck her forces through the cities walls under cover of night and into the Triskelion's inner barricade without notice. By the following morning 93% of the Whitecloak's forced had perished at the hands of the limited available Tower Mages and the survivors had been captured.

The Conflict

Prelude

General Waley's resources allowed her to gain access to secret correspondence with a cloister of supportive mages within the tower itself. Over month's the General concocted plans to break into the city with the assistance of these co-conspirators.

Deployment

Just before midnight, the south-eastern city gate was opened to allow the invaders access to Roue D'or. Donning dark, stained gambesons (leaving their infamous white cloaks and glamoured armor behind) the Whitecloaks remained undetected until they crossed the silent magical barriers of the Tower's barricade.

Outcome

Whitecloak General Miranda Waley and each surviving Whitecloak soldier were arrested. Having discovered the demons and dark-folk being held in the undercroft of the Tower the General made her plea that the Tower harbored dangerous malevolent beings. Due to the General's lack of evidence and poor faith against the Whitecloaks because of their illegal invasion, the Merchant Kings dismissed all allegations against the Triskelion.
General Miranda Waley and her remaining retainers were promptly extradited to Aster Prienne.

Aftermath

Already banned from entering the city of Roue D'or, The Keepers of True Faith are now barred from entering any Roue D'ori controlled town or vassal state. Harsh trade sanctions were placed upon Aster Prienne restricting any nations to trade with the Whitecloak homeland, else they receive punitive fines.
