They're behind in advancements compared to Luhren, and their research is more focused on the natural and magical worlds rather than technology.
Religion
They follow the big pantheon, however, there are fringe groups that follow Woqueren or other minor gods. Those in the minority and follow minor gods are able to do so more freely than they are in Luhren, but those that follow Woqueren keep quiet about their worship. About a fifth of the population is atheist and agnostic.
Foreign Relations
They have a peaceful relationship with Noctre, however because of the Dragon's War, their relationship with Luhren is strained.

Education
They're freer with their education than Luhren in who they accept into their universities, but the education system for the youth lacks equality. Those in the lower class get little education, enough to know the basics, but cannot afford to attend school beyond the ages of 10 or so; school is not free to attend. Scholars focus on magic and the natural world, with a group of elites who are tasked with finding and getting rid of the source of the Decay. They have made little progress.
