Disaster / Destruction
The destruction of Mailes by Constructs of the west.
The territory of Mailes was peaceful. Watering holes brought animals without much work, and plenty of edible plant life was available. Unfortunately, they weren't adept fighters, which made the razing much worse. Constructs of light, fire, stone, and more came to the town. When the denizens of Mailes noticed the Constructs, an unknown courier was sent to warn others. Constructs had been seen to the west before Ghei Wyl's fall, and some legends even discussed bombastic confrontations with them. While the courier heeded the legends, his people could not be saved from destruction in time. The letter given to the city of Poueir was called the "Pelez ilia," or the "White Letter." Many felt that the potential attack was another feat of undue vengeance by the gods, similar to that in Ghei Wyl. Individuals willing to stand against unimaginable odds used the few available weapons and marched down to Mailes to help their cousins. While it was a unifying event, they arrived too late. The constructs had disappeared, and only a few individuals remained after the razing. While the bravery of the incoming elves went uncontested, they began discussing plans to take action and claim safety from the divine factors at play.
