The forceful takeover of Gullivegur by the Augury, years after they had slowed their campaign to investigate their visions regarding Mot D'nir. Having become overgrown by the marsh once more, the invasion took years longer than anticipated. Subterfuge would also play a role in the delay, perhaps costing more deaths in the process.

After having abandoned the pursuit of their visions regarding Mot D'nir in light of conflict between their baronies, the Augurs would once more be greeted by visions of turmoil and catastrophe, all of which were veiled with symbolism of the marsh.   This period had already been met with conflict between the augurs and the two consuls, as the augurs came to believe that their political partners were twisting their words to support their own political desires. As such, the three vision seekers would assume temporary authority until Gullivegur could be taken and their pursuit of the marsh would be fully realized. Unfortunately for the augurs, their pursuit would be met with grand nationalism in the citizens that assumed their stations in the new territory, making their initially "altruistic invasion" irreversible as the people under their government pushed for more progression to civilize the reptile-folk.   The invasion at hand would take 8 years to accomplish, as the marsh had fully enveloped their target lands, but the dwarvish mining outposts they had established served as sufficient bases for retreat and defense, though they would only ever serve as an offensive force throughout the war. The government of Gullivegur had become filled with Tara-Jhen who had no interest in forsaking the Quai and allowing human subjugators into their lands (though humans had long served in "lower trades" throughout the territory).   After a short lived mutiny from soldiers that had become traumatized by the marsh and wished to go home had been put down, two new platoons were sent down to take the city. With half of the population seeing that the Augury would not relent, an individual among them named Dedino would take matter into his own hands. The lizard-folk would stage a mutiny himself during an attack, killing the Gidofem and allowing the Augury forces into the city. Dedino would be placed as the new Gidofem when the assimilation was completed, creating a lineage of Augury loyal Tara-Jhen until its end during the Silence.
