Gidofem

Gidofem (or "navigators") are the ruling titles over the Tara-Jhen, so called for their knowledge of the metaphysical pathways of the Quai. Originally, they did in fact serve as guides for those that needed to travel between the territories, but now they each have a dozen Gidofemi (~under the Gidofem, subservient to the Gidofem) which serve as guides instead while the actual Gidofem serve as political leaders (though they still require extensive knowledge of the Quai).

Qualifications

One must be considered the most knowledgeable on the Quai, above all other individuals for selection. In the modern era, they are also selected for their policies and the main ideological parties are based on whether the Quai should be spread as much as possible, or held in the most advantageous regions for the good of the species.
