Otari Kora Item in Laminarum | World Anvil

Otari Kora (Oh-tar-ee Core-ah)

The Otari Kora, meaning "shell of Kora," is an item of legendary significance. Supposedly carved from the Shell of Korahaman after being moved to the dungeons of the Shellbay palace, it is now in the hands of an Orator union in Tazban. Its price is high, with the Osman family offering 1200 gold and each cardinal merchant of Caripreet offering no less than 1500 gold each. Parties in Shellbay have taken a different approach, with the Avblod Party pressuring the Augury to force its return to the coastal barony. No efforts have been successful, however, as the Kaban regard it as the closest thing they have to Korahaman's presence.

Creation

The Otari Kora was chiseled from a scute of Korahaman's shell. Upon being properly shaped, it was given a brass covering in the center and around its rim. Later, the Augury would offer assistance in protecting it from aging while welding decorative fins along the top and bottom.
