Saiya was born in the small, semi nomadic assassin village hidden in the Still Forest known as Nightengale.
Her parents were both skilled assassins, and from the moment she was able to use a bow she began learning the skills necessary for the family trade.
She is proud of her lineage and is determined to carry on the tradition of the Nightengale assassins.

General Physical Condition
Is average height for her race but strong. She has built up quite a bit of muscle through the years of training.

Identifying Characteristics
Regardless of what she is wearing or how her hair is styled for the day she will always have the lock of hair with her beads on it on the left side, and some, if not all, of the remaining hair will be braided. The only time her hair is not braided is while she sleeps as she finds it uncomfortable. Has two prominent white patches on her face, one over her right eye and covering much of that side of the face and one on her left cheek that runs down the side of her neck. Due to this the purple tone of her eyes is more prominent in one eye vs. the other and gives the illusion of heterochromia. If wearing a low enough cut garment, a brand is visible on the center of her chest just below the collarbone. It is of a moon with a bird wing (the symbol of the Nightengale family).
Physical quirks
Her white spots(or snow spots as Felix calls them), are the most obvious. Apart from the ones on her face her right forearm and hand is white until just below the elbow and her left leg is white till just below the knee. There are a few other spots on her torso as well.

Her cloak is black with a purple lining and is high quality (gives a +20 to stealth).

Personal history
Saiya was born in a small, semi nomadic village hidden in the Still Forest known as Nightengale. The village, named for her family, was a kind of assassins' guild and both her parents were skilled assassins. From the moment she was old enough to use a bow she began to learn the skills necessary to become an assassin and thrive in the dangerous forest. Saiya was very eager to learn anything new and quickly became a very diligent student.
Later on in life, her mother began teaching her tailoring in an attempt to keep her from focusing too much on her training. This was a craft Saiya adored and quickly reached a level at which she was granted her first stone bead: white leopard jasper.
When she was roughly 100 years of age, her father left the village. Him and her mother had grown apart long ago and now that Saiya was very much independent he felt it best to move on. This being said he did visit his little girl rather often, often using the excuse that he was making sure she wasn't slacking on her training.
Fifteen years later her little half brother was born. Saiya adored him and took every opportunity to help her mother care for him that she could. However, as he grew it was clear he had little interest in becoming an assassin. His passion was in magic, and at 60 he went to live with his father in the capital to work towards being accepted into the mages college. Saiya was devastated when he left but they stayed in touch throughout the years. They would spend all day catching up whenever Saiya dared brave the crowds of the city.
Now at 230, it was time for her to leave Sydroa, as every one who wants to work as an assassin must. While most head south where it is naturally easier, Saiya felt she had something to prove. She went North to Nalkon. This is where she was promptly arrested for suspicion of being an escaped slave and espionage, then forced into the oddest group imaginable. Though it ended for the best, she remains bitter to this day about the reasons for her arrest. As she would put it, "Firstly, I am and never will be a slave; and, secondly, I am not some lowly spy slinking about in the middle of the day! And the two together doesn't even make sense!"

Simply put, pansexual. Gender doesn't influence her decisions on partners.
Education
She did not receive a typical education as we picture it. She was trained how to survive and thrive in the Still Forest as well has the skills necessary to become an assassin. Had she any interest in doing so, she would have had the ability to learn Halven; though really saw no need as anyone who didn't speak Sydroan typically spoke Lainshoan.
It was only recently she was magically granted literacy in her native tongue.
Employment
She has accidentally become a Slayer of Nalkon.
Mental Trauma
Many Sydroans view her spots as a curse and avoid her because of it. This was always more evident in the capital city and mountain villages. Though despite this there are those that see her partially blessed by Pappol. This brought about a conflicting self image and caused her to avoid others for fear of how they may judge her. In the long run it developed into a lack of understanding of social cues and a difficulty accepting compliments on her appearance.

History
Despite the 100 year difference in age, the two Nightengale siblings are extremely close. Saiya was devestated when her younger brother chose to move to the capital and pursue sorcery over following in the family footsteps of becoming an assassin.
Shared Secrets
Saiya shares almost everything with Azriel. He was the first person she ever wrote to after gaining magical literacy, this also made him the first person to learn of her current relationship with a human woman. Even before beginning her journey, Azriel was the one she would confide her anxieties of her appearance as well as being the only female heir of the Nightengale family.
Socially awkward, introverted Sydroan assassin in training trying to gain first hand knowledge of the world outside of Sydroa as the final task before allowed to take on jobs as an assassin.
