Bakkussan

Made up of two sub-races, these are the Ælfen people who dwell in the Great Woods and around Lake Baksu. Those who live primarily in the forest are said to be among the best herbalists in the world. While those who dwell along the lake are often great sailors or boatmen (canoes, rowboats, rafts, etc.). Trade here is mostly from Kalgra, Prestania, and Ellenar . These Ælfs are of a fair skin, with a variety of hair colours ranging from blonde to dark brown.
The two groups often consider themselves to be of different ethnicities; however, they are genetically identical. There are often pairings across the two groups, so parents of a child may be lake dwelling or wood dwelling, or both.
Those who live in the woods are often called "wood Ælfs", whereas those who live on the lake are sometimes called "water Ælfs".
