Curses of the Laeonessai

Geographical Distribution

Laeonessai is a hybrid language, merged from the disparate languages brought from the mainland. Although these languages are part of the same linguistic tree, they had developed separately over the years, and thus created a new hybrid language, unlike the previous languages. As such, it is limited to the isles of Laeonesse, although eventually, it is shared and taken back to the mainland by travelers and merchants.
Common Phrases
Spirit-Less
To be called a spirit-less is to be an outcast, neither mortal nor Fae, and empty of life, capable of being possessed and controlled by evil things. To call someone such a thing is to accuse them of being inhuman.
--Changeling:: Changelings are rare and viewed with suspicion because they are neither mortal nor Fae, but something in between. As such, they belong to neither community and are cursed to be an outsider. The family and the local community is the foundational aspect of Laeonessai society, so to wish someone outside the communities to leave them entirely outside the social structure.
May you have no hearth of your own
Hearths are the center of the home-life of Laeonessai and the term hearth is frequently used as a euphemism for a home, family, and proper social life. Essentially, this curse wishes to drive someone into exile, a fate that usually leads to death by weather, starvation, or outlaws.

May your song be forgotten
A spirit exists only as long as it is remembered and thus, this is the worst curse that can be cast upon a person, for it wishes to make them forgotten. Normal curses bring only death and ill-fortune, but this curse aims to strike away at the person's afterlife, to remove them permanently from existence. Only a druid can reverse this curse, by carving a song into stone, so that their song will always exist. No other way is known of preventing it.
