Stalpen

The Count of Katas, Stalpen is a distant relative of Sorsasta Quiris, the Empress of the Empire of Kyrnia. He does not much like life in Katas with its proximity to the Horse Clans and the constant raiding and fighting that occurs. 
He much prefers life at the Imperial Court in Quara and is there almost the entire time, leaving the running of the County to his trusted advisors. He does make appearances when needed.
He is finding it difficult to find a wife who wants to leave the Imperial Court for life under threat, and he basically agrees with them, but knows that sooner or later his Imperial Cousin will send him back home.
