Sarah Proctor Public Library
A well-appointed library in New Pembroke. It is quite old. It is currently run by head Librarian, Ms. Quislinger.
Quilt-like patterns are carved in the large wooden double doors.
History
Named for Sarah Proctor, who was born in 1639. She was most well-known for being the daughter of Elizabeth Proctor, who was accused and convicted of Witchcraft in Salem in 1692. Luckily for Elizabeth, her pregnancy kept her from being executed. Her husband, John, was not so lucky. Later, Elizabeth was released and acquitted.
There isn't much record of Sarah in the history books, but apparently she helped establish the library in New Pembroke before her death in 1705, at the age of 66.
