Metal // Tearing

"I don't care if people standing near the prison will feel nauseous. Reinforce the building that is meant to keep people inside with Zabrit for goodness sake! ... Especially if we are using steel for the bars!
Too much magic, not many options to create something secure."

Prison architect

Metallix are the bane of progress. Their ability to treat metal-likes as if they are mere plasticine had caused Etherium to waste many precious decades of research and developing materials that could hard-counter magic that makes technology useless. It was the presence of Metallix punks that forced the Eternal Counsel to unveil the ancient methods to refine and use the magebreaker ore Zabrit as an alloy. Only then was Etherium ready to prosper.

Wax // Redistribution

Steel is a hard metal. Lead is heavy and sturdy. Even gold one can't break to pieces without a tool other than one's own hands.
Metallica just laugh at any of these refined materials. For that, they are mere wax left in the sun for them. Metallix can tear apart any metal with not much more than a single finger. They can cut apart solid steel beams with a weak karate-chop, tear down lamp posts by leaning against them and squeeze any robotic entity into a bar of metal with a firm hug.
If one relies on something made out of any metal, they better carry a spare in case they foolishly use it against one of these punks.

The only Eternal from the Eternal Counsel, whose frame is devoid of any Zabrit, who is not scared of any rogue Metallix, would be Terminus, the Omniscient. The omnipresent possesses as only Eternal multiple bodies allowing him to be more inclusive and approachable to the mages of the world. In 3600 AS did follow Vapor Terminus' mantra abandoning the protective traces to walk amongst the mortals in his realm Gemenskap. Unlike Terminus has Vapor however guards that will shield him in cases of emergencies.

But Metallix can't just destroy stuff, their control over refined materials allows them to steal and integrate any metal into their accessories or armour. Metallix usually wear lofty outfits which consist entirely of various precious metals. If they have to fight will the gaps close and the excess metal be usable to form weapons or get used like whips forming wires.
This closeness to one's weaponry caused many pubs and inns to have lendable clothes for various mages, mainly Metallix, to not stir up trouble inside.

Lead poisoning // Insanity

In the heat of the second, no Metallix can entirely avoid handling harmful metals. Most notice it somewhen and cleanse their metal reserves from the harmful twig, but others embrace the new sensation. Some say that a Metallix is not a true metal bender if they have not at least a few screws loose.

Physical Alterations

Metallix possesses what can be called a seventh sense for refined metals. Even with closed eyes, they can tell you which materials they could influence.
Such high awareness is crucial with magic that relies on the presence of actual refined materials, rendering them mostly useless and dependent on the metal covering their bodies in the wildness.
Besides that posess they a slightly higher intoxication resistances with a, through the symbiosis with their ant partner, reinforced liver. Metallix have therefore a hard time getting drunk.

Raw Materials

A popular path for Metallix, who have still all their marbles gathered, is to study and meditate to overstretch their knowledge of the Veil to the gate of Summer.

Being knowledgeable in metallurgy and specific melting points of raw metal Metallix can simulate the heat through sheer pressure extracting metal out of ore veins becoming useful in the wildness.
Pasir's brother Pelukis had already for a long time shown signs of slight insanity. His self-restraint was as brittle as any metal they came in contact with, which he tore apart and smashed to bits. Pasir was sure that something was afoot with his little brother. Was it the strangely coloured metal he insisted on using since they found it far below the surface in a ruin? He claimed that he felt empowered by it and who would deny his brother the feeling of might? Especially as that is for what they both crave. Power!

Pasir shook his head and dissipated the thoughts, focusing on the task at hand. Saving his nutjob of a brother from bleeding out. They slipped up, this tomb raid went wrong, very wrong. Pelukis' left arm was a goner, having been severed by a trap of their far ancestors. Pasir tried his best to dry out the gaping wound with his sand magic, but his barely conscious brother had different plans. It was already too late when Pasir noticed the trail of dark grey metal oozing down Pelukis' headgear, connecting to the severed bone, beginning to corrupt the flesh and form a replacement arm. As the mask of Pelukis retreated saw Pasir the mouth of his brother. His usual collected and challenging smirk shifted into the insane smile of a lunatic. And as the strange metal overtook his body, connecting the now fully metal arm to his frame a bloody laughter filled the chamber.

"T-the voice. It is not there anymore. I realize it now, b-brother. I am that voice! I-It was me all a-along!"
