Katzan Conservatory of Magic
Much older than its counterparts, the Katzan Conservatory was the first magical academy to be established on the continent of Kima. The Katzan Cape's healthy land and abundance of magic arguably makes Katzan mages consistently the most powerful magic-users in the empire. While most graduates stay in the Cape to help their people, a fair amount make their way to urban centers in Chema and Ephemere, hoping to help their province from the outside with their considerable power.
The Conservatory is constructed among the jagged mountain ridges of the Cape. It's difficult to reach by nonmagical means, and harsh to those not accustomed to its inhospitable climate. The school was actually built shortly after Katzan became a recognized nation, but was not acquired by the Council of Magistry until much later on. This wasn't for a lack of trying, but rather because of the anti-outsider nature of most Katzans.
The facial markings of Katzan's students are colored in shades of purple.
