Kingdom of Mystria

The youngest of the five Kingdoms, this land is largely mountains and thick forests covered in a smothering mist, hence the name of the area before it became the Kingdom of Mystria, The Land of Mists. None of the other kingdoms know where to find the many villages and cities that dot the kingdom, in fact bar those who have sworn to defend the kingdom and King Trivain, not even the settlements that dot the kingdom know each other's locations. All trade and diplomacy between the settlements and with other Kingdoms occur at the capital of Solace, with the castle of the royal family built above the city from the very mountain itself.   With outsiders Mystrians tend to say little and keep many secrets to themselves, especially in regards to their homeland and their culture. The main defenders of the land and those known most to outsiders are the Mistwalkers who are the only ones able to tread through the mists without fear of being misled or getting lost and those who have studied for a long enough time can even use it as a weapon. It is said each Mistwalker is blessed by Luna the sole deity worshiped in this land and that the magic of the Mistwalkers are strongly tied to the moon.   This Kingdom is useful for players who want a more unique origin and find the other Kingdoms do not suit their needs.

Religion

In the land of Mystria, people worship the goddess Luna. She is the moon and the moon is her, its phases matching the waxing and waning of her power, shaping the abilities of her clergy. She is a goddess of great importance, for just as the moon pierces the darkness of the night alone with her light so too does the light of Luna pierce darkness of evil. It is due to Mystria’s closeness to the Shadowlands and the evils born from it mean there is barely any trace of worship of anyone bar Luna.
