The Night Hunt Order
The Kingdom of Mystria is known for its endless forests and all encompassing mists. Merchants and travellers know the paths passed down from parent to child, to get from their settlement to the capital of Solace. However the mists hide many creatures that have crept in from the Shadowlands and while the mists do confound and cause all those trapped within to become lost, the foul creatures still may find a group of travellers or a small settlement to attack.
While every settlement has its own militias and the Kingdom as a whole has an army it can call upon in times of war. It is the Night Hunt Order that hunt down the creatures of the night. This organisation is actually made up of a few smaller groups, including the militant arm of Church of Luna as well as Mistweaver Covens.
Any who wish to become a hunter can enrol at an appropriate academy to be trained in art arts of tracking, hunting and dealing with the monsters that lurk in the mists. After their training is complete they can bear the title of "Night Hunter". From then on a hunter can continue service with the lodges, with some moving on to the Order of Owls or the Guardians for permanent or temporary terms.
The headquarters of the High Lodge is located as part of the Royal Palace of Solace. For only the monarch of Mystria, of whom all are trained as Hunters bearing the role as head of the Order knowns the true location of every settlement in the Kingdom. Groups of hunters will be assigned as teams to the lodges stationed throughout the Kingdom. Every team must contain at least one Mistwalker and one member ordained by the Church of Luna, bar this the composition of each team is incredibly unique.
Due to the prevalence of the Order, most ranger lodges and blood hunter order halls in Mystria are used to specially train its members to prepare them for wider Hunter training, and will act as local Order lodges for their region's teams.
