Clash in the Chasm

General Summary

The group returned from the Chasm and made preparations to attack Vazrimoth. That night, they were summoned to the palace by Masahige and Suzume who claimed that Tao-Ren had returned. They arrived at the palace to find the guards and attendants fast asleep. They ascended through the palace to find Iho unconscious and Laxius waiting in Tao-Ren's quarters. He confronted them about stealing Vazrimoth's abyssal anchor and warned them that the other Apostles would now be on high alert. He also told them a little about abyssal incursions. The next day the group recruited Suzuha from Miketsukami and Benkei plane-shifted them back to the Chasm. The sky was no longer dark but the abyssal energies had drastically changed the environment. They charged into battle with Vazrimoth and Conradus was killed. Her summoned demons and far realm aberrations proved difficult to battle but after a brutal combat, Genji succeeded in killing Vazrimoth. The victory was bittersweet, as Vazrimoth would soon reform in the Abyss. They looted what they could and returned to Tengoku to rest and repair Bitō
