Season 1 of Wax Wing opens the world of Midgard (2017 Earth) wide with the explosive and colourful antics of the Areiosides' two youngest members: resurrected siblings Lou & Icarus. Where Lou found his path under Great-Grandfather Ares Mars Olympia' mercenary military and its elite Spartan-inspired Morae, Icarus found technology in all its neon glory, under Amita Athene Olympia's greige tutelage.

One part cyberpunk one part mythpunk, Wax Wing is an audio drama geared to the 18 - 40 something market of sci-fi & fantasy loving listeners.

Midgard is the central neutrality of the Realms, the Human domain. And Ares Mars Olympia will defend it with everything he has.

Sibling Distance

Lou and Icarus have been re-alive for eight years, growing up under the loving and watchful eyes of Ares, Aphrodite and Leonidas. Twenty now, Icarus starts Wax Wing attempting to separate from their brother. Lou spent 3500 years taking care of Icarus, dekeing through the underworld as Shades. Seeing how different Lou is with his Enomotia, how well suited he is to command? Icarus doesn't need Lou hovering over them anymore, they're an adult!

Time to show Big Brother his services are no longer required.

Battlefield: Salt Flats

All scans point to the Salt Flats as the invasion point. There with the entire First Mora, Ares & Leonidas command from the centre front of the ranks as portals of multiprismic energy open with an invasionary force on the other side. Tensions raise, a large booming voice proclaiming their name Minitron, Champion of Bardaga. Let him be met in battle by Midgard's champion for the fate of the world. Before anyone can say a word, Lou steps up.

It's time to prove himself as a leader, regardless the cost. Lou volunteers to be the Champion, who fights for the world. But when it doesn't turn into the glorious battle he wants, he has to eat the ding to his pride... without his sibling.

Tensions are high. Before he can offer himself for the blood match to save the planet, his great-grandson Lou steps up out of a desperation to earn his already earned spot. Ares needs to put down his anger and help Lou prepare.

Plot

Ares & the First Mora of Kopis Industries' mercenary Spartans get a hit on an invasion threatening Midgard (aka. Earth), by the Bardagi, an alien species not connected to the Axis Mundi. His first mission as Enomotarch, Lou is desperate to prove himself and volunteers for a death-match for the planet... against Ares' will.

In the lab at Brolympus, Icarus runs a test on Daedalus.AI, the fledgeling AI doesn't meet specs, yet. Taking their eyes off the battle feeds, Icarus goes to Finnegan's Bluff Public House for a coffee and meets Seraya Rosethorn.

The Bardagi Champion Minitron vaults forth! A battle to the death!? Minitron launches at Lou, who upon seeing the truth of the Bardagi, defeats Minitron and feels the scathing ridicule of his 'big moment'.
