Enomotarch Leander Areides (a.k.a. Lou)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Lou is a brawler with a solid, wide-shouldered build. Face worn rough and broken from years of scuffles and training, frustration is permanently knit into his brow. In his moments of puckish behavior, his deep scowl shifts to a bawdy grin and one is likely to find themselves buried deep in a bear hug.
Apparel & Accessories
Although happily adapting to the change in apparel through the years, Lou isn’t known for his fashion sense. He’s often seen in a quilted, camouflage bomber jacket and taupe military boots.
Specialized Equipment
As an Enomotarch, Lou is fitted with his Panoply, Aspis Gauntlet, and Spartan Kopis. He’s protective over his equipment, letting only his superiors touch for inspection. Shining his panoply has become a strict ritual, taking pride in the glow from his tools.

Personal history
Leander has very few memories before the labyrinth. Those that remain are blurry at best, further clouded by stories told by his father, Daedalus. As a small child, Leander felt as if things were persistently off balance until the birth of his sibling, Icarus. The corridors of the labyrinth became their playground. Making their own games, listening to stories, and cultivating wild imaginations, the siblings grew to quickly counterbalance one another and find a tense complacency within the labyrinth together.
The escape from the labyrinth was nothing like Leander had imagined. Waxen wings carried the family high above their previous confinement, the full warmth of the sun engulfing them. Until Icarus spiraled down before him. Without a second thought, Leander collapsed his wings and dove for his sibling, the pair drowning in the undulating waters of the Aegean.
Left wandering the underworld as shades, Icarus and Leander did all they could to escape but after many failed fights with Cerberus, the two found themselves at the hands of Melinoë. Crafting nightmares in secret for the Goddess of Madness grew on them like an infectious mold but it came too easy for Icarus. In an attempt to soothe the splintering mind of his sibling, Leander would often tell stories of the world outside the labyrinth. They weren’t always true or reliable but the fanciful stories sustained the two’s hope on their darkest nights.
Leander's father's managed to outmaneuver the goddess Athene and secure the release of both of his children from the underworld. With a potential out in sight, Leander found himself face to face with the Creatrix herself. Despite the terror and uncertainty of their situation, Leander managed to keep his wits about him and looked into the eyes of the divine being. What the Creatrix saw in him remains a mystery, but she deemed him and his sibling worthy of resurrection and brought them back to life as they were on the day they had died.
Leander adopted the name Lou to better fit with the times. Due to his physicality, he was taken under the wings of Leonidas and Ares to train in their mercenary force, becoming a member of the Enomotia at age 20. The siblings were moved into the Thracian compound where Lou continues to test security by frequently sneaking new women home.
Sexuality
Lou does his best to make Aphrodite proud with his insatiable appetite. He’s never intentionally brought the same woman home twice and seems to be allergic to commitment.
Education
Despite protests, Lou was given a proper basic education until he was able to use training as an excuse. Once fully swept up by Leonidas, Lou turned his studies to athletics and the military.
Employment
Happily employed as an Enomotarch within the Morai, Lou hopes to further advance under the eyes of Ares and Leonidas. So far, he seems to have proven himself worthy to lead his squad and continues to spend most of his time training alongside his team.

Nowhere near the mental acuity of Icarus, Lou is intelligent in his own ways. Not only does he quickly pick up on social cues and street smarts, but he also has a natural ability to understand and feel comfortable within battlefields and combat situations. He’s found that ‘playing dumb’ can be incredibly beneficial but it’s not always clear when he's simply playing.

History
Minitron and Lou met on the field of battle, during the first Bardagi attack against Midgard. Two Champions of opposing forces, Minitron and Lou fought to the death...
... or would have, if Lou didn't give Minitron mercy.
This mercy was paid back by multiple attempts on Lou's life, until through a series of misadventures, Lou and Minitron became inseparable companions on the field of woe.
Now, Minitron is Lou's loyal second in command, and keeps his battle bro as protected as possible. They would more than die for each other, and are a rare unit with their core Enomotia.
