The Drosden Armada

The Drosden Armada is the army of the drosden fleet. Many would be pirate hunters, especially those not native to Jeslore have engaged their ships thinking it would be an easy bounty to turn in, but they always found themselves blind sided by the training level, advanced equipment provided by Wetwork Engineering, and excellent discipline not found in the usual pirate crews. The Drosden Fleet and its army, while unabashedly guilty of looting and stealing is rightfully considered a super power on Jeslore and a staunch enemy of the empire and the RAR. They value freedom more than anything, and this is reflected in the fact that soldiers in the fleet act with a notable amount of independence, and sometimes even impunity from their commanding officers. Soldiers in the fleet can loot, capture, or even kill enemies at their own discretion without the requirement of an order. This makes the drosden fleet better at naval combat as it allows them to engage whenever they please, and also in stealthy confrontations as they don't need to wait for orders to engage which considerably reduces the risk of being found.   The drosden armada is not to be trifled with unprepared, as they have Death Angels, DROP troopers, Galleons, Pathfinders, and even Bacteria in their ranks. This is due to a former alliance with DECTA and the Council. Drosden forces in orbit are currently still on good terms with the council, but on Jeslore the fleet has engaged in skirmishes with DECTA and RAR security forces. In addition, unlike with DECTA where soldiers are predominately loyal to their country first and their army second, in the armada soldiers are loyal to their queen and army first. Kat wields immense respect as she leads her troops into battle herself. Part of the reason the drosden armada is as well equiped as it is, is because their weapons are directly provided by Wetwork Engineering, a weapons manufacturer known for creating weapons of high quality known for their reliability. The other reason is because they blatantly steal equipment and any valuables from the enemy, which obviously bolsters their economy and available weapons.   Soldiers in the armada receive an intense 12 week training which readies them for amphibious military operations as well as anything else the armada gets up to. Drosden Pirates are tough customers and do not go down easily, their standard units being on par with an imperial Praetor soldier. Despite their discipline and training, a pirate is a pirate and soldiers of the drosden armada are often bad mannered, having no respect for war time ettiquete and generally having a policy of "shoot first, think second". Being captured by the fleet isn't so bad, as the fleet abides by standard human rights rules when handling prisoners except for the fact that any valuables both personal and issued by the military are taken away by the fleet to be given to its economic distribution department. While it is formally prohibited to be drunk on deployment, it does happen a lot and it doesn't seem to affect their aim as most pirates have a partial immunity to the effects of alcohol by way of cybernetics.   The Drosden Armada, while as efficient on land as they are in the water do vastly prefer approaching from the water, either using flotillas and support fleets to drop them off on a coast or airships for an aerial insertion. The drosden fleet does have an air force, but as broken buildings and ruined trinkets aren't worth anything generally prefer to take cities using infantry in power armour only with otherwise unorthodox shock trooper tactics. When a target has to be destroyed, the drosden "equalizer" bomber plane has a capacity that is second enough, more than enough to level entire cities. When these are used, the fleet often uses heartseekers to keep them from being shot down, or they use Drosden Dread class airships alongside mosquito hunters to deal with enemy fighters. This is because equalizers are slow and not very good at defending themselves against more nimble and fast fighter planes. Enemies that are aware of the way the fleet prefers to approach their positions will bolster naval and air defenses, which can slow them down if not repel their attacks.   To prevent this as well as generally make sure excursions have the best chances of success, the armada will often work with the crownest agency which, among other things, specializes in colour revolutions and political sabotage by causing civil unrest and generally making it harder for the enemy to maneuvre.

Structure

The Drosden Armade essentially acts as an amphibian army, fighting both on land and on the sea where they have the most power. The armada has the strongest navy of Jeslore, with only the LSU giving it any resistance at all and in shallow water only. The armada follows a very standard military chain of command which is simply named differently.

Perhaps somewhat surprisingly for anyone who isn't aware of the history of the fleet, for a pirate faction the Drosden Armada's discipline and skill is unmatched. Its soldiers are well trained, well equipped, and fiercely loyal to their queen to the point where individual soldiers have more autonomy than even the units of DECTA. Because they used to be allies, the drosden armada has some Bacteria suit and can train its own death angels, DROP troopers, and BioCon troopers, and Pathfinder. It even has a special power armour unit of its own called a Galleon, which excells at fast paced, visceral combat often getting in melee engagements to brutally eliminate targets with deadly efficiency.
