Dracon Vact (DRAY-kun VAHKT)

The Dracon Vact are a pair of Krynn Draconians, a Kapak named Ohgru and a Baaz named Pelch, that function as head of security for Torvan, the head of the Murder Snegles, Inc. Pleasure Guild. They were sent by the draconians on Drageoya to begin infiltration into Melas.

An alliance was formed between Torvan and the Sivak emissary, Kiervan. In exchange for allowing Kiervan's two draconian brothers to serve as his personal Security, the hobgoblin would allow the draconians access to his guild's financial dealings.

The Dracon Vact have become known throughout Nightlesbyy Glade for their ruthlessness, and their propensity for taking offense at the smallest slight. They are always seen flanking Torvan as he is carried by his retinue of servants, brandishing barbed swords or knobbed clubs.

Only two draconians comprise the Dracon Vact, but it is possible individual Baaz and Kapak may substitute out, as Torvan is unable to tell the difference between two different draconians of the same lineage. They always answer to Oghru and Pelch. This arrangement allows two of them to be secure and alert 24 hours/day, increasing their value and mystique.

Weaponry

The baaz draconians are armed with a knobbed club similar to a mace, and with numerous small throwing daggers, and a dirk. The kapak is armed with a barbed long sword, darts that they can poison and a long thin misercorde.

Structure

As is common with draconian societies, the hierarchy between subspecies is strict and absolute. The Baaz reports to the Kapak, and the Kapak reports to the Sivak, and each obey their superior to the letter. No other structure is tolerated, although sometimes in battle a particularly experienced or powerful draconian of a lower subtype will command those higher than him, although only in times of extreme loss of his superiors, and then only over those one rank above him.

In addition, the resident Sivak who actually commands the Dracon Vact gets their orders from their superiors across the sea in Maladorou and obey them without question.

Tactics

While no one would normally dare attack a Pleasure Guild fahr brazenly in the street, the Dracon Vact exude a presence that would deter even a planned, multiple target hit. They often randomly take low-status individuals off the streets while escorting Torvan and make a preemptory example of them to others of their kind.

They are also known to carry out random assassinations of members of the other guilds at Torvan's orders, although their own orders are to minimize the amount of blatant interference and antagonism of the other guilds. They tactically conclude that solidifying their own status as Torvan's security and working their way into his organization is worth the lives of a few low-level rival guild members.
