Drageoya Island
Drageöya Island is a small island located approximately 150 miles east of the main island of Melas. It is the home to a mix of Dragonborn (western side) and Draconian (eastern side) inhabitants.
The largest settlement on the Draconian side is Maladorou. There is no official form of government to rule the Draconians, although life is heavily regimented according to class lines, and within those strictures the strongest warrior rules over the rest.
The Dragonborn culture relies heavily on clans and family units. Their largest settlement is Patrinbyla. Their civilization is very clannish and relationship between families keep their culture strong.

Geography
The 35-square mile island features a formidable mountain chain running almost straight down the middle from the Great Sea to the GoodPond, separating east and west regions. Land is mostly arable between the mountains and the coast, especially around the GoodPond itself.
The highest point is on "Kauni Huppi," a 2,500-ft high mountain, which is draconic for "Beautiful Peak". The Draconian term for the mountain is "Beaupic". The name is a subject of some dispute.

Natural Resources
Fresh water is mostly found in the GreatPond, fed by runoff from the mountains. Occasional springs and wells are found and are highly prized resources.
History
At some point in the distant past, some kind of phenomenon deposited both the Dragonborn and Draconian civilizations on either side of the island. Since neither race is native to the planet, it can only be assumed they were brought there on purpose or by accident. Both races allowed the natural mountain barrier to divide them for most of their existence, keeping to themselves and minimizing contact.
In recent days, scarcity of food and fresh water, and sheer boredom have increased tensions on both sides, leading to open conflict.
