Patrinbyla

Patrinbyla is the name of the Dragonborn (western) half of the island of Drageoya and is also the common name of the main town, which is situated mostly on a narrow stretch of land between the Great Bay and the SaltBay.

The population of the Dragonborn side of the island is around 22,000. Around 7,500 live in Patrinbyla the town and several other smaller villages around the quarter and several offshore islands contain the remainder of their people.

Demographics

The population of Dragonborn is almost equally divided between two main clans:

• Bronzesyn: 12,300
• Coppersyn: 12,550

There are a very few other clans represented that try to blend in and hide their heritage among the "good" clans:

• Bluesyn: 90
• Blacksyn: 60

Visually, they are able to pass themselves off as extended members of Bronzesyn or Coppersyn clans. They are by and large just as moral and honorable as the other clans, but because of their evil dragon heritage they would be shunned and likely killed if anyone else knew the truth.

Government

Both clans have leaders that rule together as a dyad. Smaller subclans and families defer to their clan chiefs decisions in most matters, although decisions regarding honor and duty are debated in occasional clan councils.

Defences

War chiefs report to each clan chieftain and work cooperatively with each other and their subordinates.
