"I know I'm not supposed to know about this, but one of my friends works here," her voice was soft, subdued. "They told me about CIEL."
Casina's expression shifted ever so slightly, and she tapped her fingers on her desk. Her words were a sigh as they came out, "Ah, I see." she replied. "Are you going to tell me I'm disgracing the Gods, tampering with things I shouldnt, ectra? Are you going to report me?" The dark dragon's eyes widened, the scar on her face crinkling. "Oh. No, I wanted to...I'm not sure of the proper words to use here...I wanted to pitch something to you...?" She watched Casina's expression carefully. "I...Lost a huge part of my wing in an accident, and...Prosthetics can only do so much, and it can really hurt." she admitted. "Would...You consider...trying to use this to...fix limbs?"
Daliah didn't know it then, but her naive question created a domino effect that would effect so many lives other than herself.
Brief
Daliah is a soft spoken and timid dark dragon. She is still in touch with her family, and they can be a bit protective and overbearing due to the young dragon's accident. When she was younger, she was attacked by Knights of Valor and through sheer luck she was able to escape. However due to the trauma and attack, Daliah was heavily injured and scarred--she lost a large portion of her left wing as a result.Daliah had a few friends working at Penumbraand when one loose lipped employee was gossiping to her, the whispers of a rumored secret project that Penumbra was working on made their way to her.
A Willing Experiment
Not thinking of the risks of causally exposing her friend, she made her way to job interviews and general testing, when her questions caused regular staff alarm, Casina had her sent to her office directly. It was there that a deal would be made: Daliah could take part in the program, the employee would be demoted but not fired, and she couldn't speak of it to anyone. She accepted.Consequences and Risks
Daliah survived her CIEL trial, and currently lives in Penumbra paid for housing. She does suffer from rather harsh Ciel Sickness, and her nervousness and shame stemming from the condition causes her to hide away from others.
