Serpent Lake

A reservoir for the two great rivers. The serpentail river, flowing from the Dragon Mountains to the north, and the Graulin River flowing from the west from the Black Bog. 
Serpent Lake and the great river of Avaria are large enough to be able to support on their own a modest naval force, and a robust network of trading vessels. 
The lake is said to house a great and terrible serpent that will on stormy nights sink ships and devour everyone inside. 
Sailors of the Serpent lake are usually very superstitious, not daring to set sail without offering a sacrifice to Thassa, or they would risk incurring her wrath in one way or another.
