PDRMN Captain
The highest non-flag officer, a captain typically commands a battleship, or a large installation. However, many also serve under admirals as senior members of their staff. At any one time there are typically around 80-90 captains. 5 on each of the Dreadnoughts, 30 in total battleship-class ship, 15-20 at Base Aleph, 7-10 at Deimos Shipyards, 3-5 at Bases Contra and Ultima and at most one at a dozen other facilities around the system.
Qualifications
Generally 4-5 martian years of service, of which at least 1 year as XO or similar role.
Appointment
Appointed by the "Captains Board", a collection of random Admirals that meet once a year to pick new promotions, can be vetoed by majority in senate or parliament.

Standard PDRMN Officers Dress Uniform, with a stylized Phoenix emblazoned on the shoulders and cuffs.
While underway, typically wear dark red standard PDRMN command jumpsuits with four stripes.
Augments are tied directly into the ships AI, allowing for direct control and communication while within comms range.
