Daitor
The first human kingdom to form following the Long Night.
Structure
Daitor is a monarchy with five major cities, and a thriving capitol. the five cities have lords that oversee their region of the kingdom, and answer to the monarchy in Vathrius. Each hold enjoys a level of autonomy but must answer to the laws that Vathrius enacts, with other laws being written by the Lords of each hold. The king levy's troops and taxes from each of the holds to promote the peace and general welfare of the kingdom, constructing roads, schools and paying for troops to defend against orcs, bandits, and the Ward. while some of the holds have rebelled in the past there is a general peace among the kingdom.
Public Agenda
Daitor seeks to unify the continent of Krogar, similar to the Ward though they attempt it in a more diplomatic fashion. this wasn't always teh case, as the original Vathrian king conquered his neighboring cities to forge the foundations of the kingdom centuries ago.
Assets
Daitor consists of nearly 120,000 square miles of grassland, hills, farms, mountains, and rivers. Vathrius has a large compliment of blacksmiths, Mystrium Smiths, cavalry, keeps, gold and silver mins, lumber mills, expansive farmland, and a small river militia.
History
roughly two centuries after the Long Night ended,Kregnen Daitor ruled Vathrius as a regional lord. in those times there was no kingdom, only smaller city states and autonomous villages and tribes. Kregnen dedicated his life to rallying what he felt to be a scattered people, offering aid and assistance to many of the other cities and villages in return for their sworn fealty. Only Loross and Fane resisted the first kings offers. for years Kregnen approached the lords of Loross and Fane in an attempt at diplomacy but was turned away every time. When the Ward began to use their military to invade into the south, Loross allied with them and assaulted Vathrius.later Fane would join in the assault as well though they were not allied to Loross or the Ward and sought to take advantage of the situation. Vathrius was nearly destroyed as the armies struggled for dominance, though in the end, so far from supply lines the Ward were forced to withdraw causing infighting among them and their allies of Loross. though Fane temporarily held the capital they were quickly routed by king Kregnen, and chased back to their city in the south west where they were caught between the sea of Storms and the Army of Kregnen. Fane quickly surrendered and the ruling family exiled, and replaced with a loyal governing body to assist their transition into the budding kingdom. Loross, many ears later in their war with The Ward would find themselves in a similar position, as they joined in with Daitor to save themselves and swore fealty to a dying King Kregnen Daitor.
Territories
Daitor occupies the heart of Krogar, nearly 120,000 square miles from the boarder river in the north near the Empty Peaks, down to Discord Run. though the Kingdom does use the Thundering Steppe for farmland, it is hotly contested territory with the Blackword Orcs, who constantly raid and attack the area.
Military
Following the first rebellion after King Kregnans death in 10,480 the Seraphim Lions restored order, and a proper Daitor army was established. rather than relying on bannermen and Lords to supply assistance with personal armies, troops would be levied from time to time to train as an army for the kingdom as a whole.
Technological Level
Daitor has yet to establish itself as a technological nation, importing most of their industrial needs from outside the kingdom they live a agricultural life and worry little for affairs beyond Krogar.
Religion
While any religion is allowed to be practiced within Daitor, the laws of the kingdom are still to be followed. as such some religions that indulge in sacrifice or violence or prohibited, preventing shrines to Yheia and Laenara to be established. Despite initial resistance, a Temple of Nine was established within Vathrius inĀ 10,691.
Foreign Relations
Daitor holds strong trade relations with Farport and Highgate, and while they are often at odds with The Ward, Daitor does not prevent their holds from trading with their northern neighbors as they defend the realm from Reavers and Shades. in the south Fane holds the line against the Blackworg Clan, with the support of Daitor's Knights on occasion. Through the Teleportation Gate in Caelfall Daitor has established a trade route with Argantus for their precious minerals and craftsmen.
Agriculture & Industry
Daitor grows large amounts of food near the Thundering Steppe, to assist in feeding an ever growing population. while they do not lack an industry they remain very much an agricultural nation, relying on each hold to provide iron and steel for weaponry and often trading food surplus to Highgate and Farport and even The Ward in return for industrial supplies.
Trade & Transport
Much of the kingdoms internal trade happens through Vathrius, as it lies at the center of the kingdom, many who wish to travel between holds must often stop through the capital at one point or another. foreign trade with Highgate, Farport, and The Ward occur primarily through smaller caravans where surplus food is hauled for delivery, through Highgate trade with even further foreign nations occurs where Daitor often trades with Ashho Baelanor, and Argantus either through the many ship ports in the kingdom or the Waygate in Caelfall.
Education
each hold is responsible for the education of their people, wherein Vathrius there are public schools to promote the general welfare, cities like Lorross use the lower class as craftsmen and only educate their highborn.
Infrastructure
Daitor has an expansive road network that ties each city to Vathrius. while some of the smaller villages and hamlets do not have direct access to these roads, they live only a short distance from them. Vathrius, Loross, and Sarton have established aqueducts and sewage systems to aid in public health. each city has its own varying level of development, where as Vathrius has paved roads and mighty towers and keeps, Fane has considerably less development still relying on dirt roads and wooden walls. Despite being home to the Mages Court, Caelfall is predominately an agricultural hold.

Legislative Body
Daitors monarch is supported by parliamentary system in which the Lords of the holds in Daitor send representatives to ensure their claims and concerns are heard and a smaller council of guildmasters who are supposed to represent the commonfolk. though the king may decree laws, the house of merchants and house of nobles must agree to the new laws. in return the two houses may propose new legislation for the monarch to review and enact as well.
Judicial Body
Daitor has a set rule of law, and while not every city or village may have the means to enforce those laws, the larger cities do. in those cities the Lords may have private guards or mercenaries enforce their laws, where as in Vathrius there exists a Knightly order dedicated to enforcing the law rather than defending the kingdom from outside threats.
