History

The origins of Deepcrest remain shrouded in mystery, with scholars struggling to trace its exact founding. Legend has it that the city was initially inhabited by Dwarves when the Eranorians WIP and Elves arrived in Araska at the dawn of the Second Age. Despite the presence of these diverse races, Deepcrest remained a small port village for millennia. The turning point came in 5500, when Ser Pendragon discovered the Ruby Islands, sparking a wave of immigration as myriad creatures followed him back to Araska. This influx transformed Deepcrest into a bustling hub for exotic trade, attracting settlers and merchants from the South.

However, the city's rapid growth brought chaos, as a lack of governance allowed lawlessness to flourish. Deepcrest teetered on the brink of ruin until Nukao Lee, a tiefling from the Ruby Islands, intervened. Nukao established a system of laws and order, incarcerating wrongdoers and enlisting the aid of a powerful wizard to create formidable iron sentries. These sentries, eternal guardians, instilled fear and maintained peace. To further enhance the city's allure, Nukao commissioned the wizard to transform the local beaches into tropical paradises reminiscent of the Ruby Islands, spurring a surge in tourism and economic growth.

Declaring himself the lord of Deepcrest, Nukao rules autonomously, independent of the North or the Northern Council. Under his visionary leadership, Deepcrest has evolved into a vibrant, profitable city, renowned for its unique blend of exotic charm and great prices.
