Eranorians
Overview
The Eranorians were the descendants of Eradoras, the God of Order. Once hailed as the noblest of all mortal races, they lived by his teachings—upholding law, structure, and divine balance above all else. During the First and Second Ages, they were a guiding force for civilization, coexisting alongside the Elves and Dwarves on the continent of Varisar. When the kingdom of Dandorian fell and the Second Age began, the Eranorians, like the Elves, chose to leave Varisar. Most followed their kin to Araska, but a proud few sailed southward instead, settling on an island off the coast. They named this new land Lúrtieer, a sanctuary where Eradoras' vision could thrive in peace.
History
For many generations, the Eranorians flourished on Lúrtieer, developing a society rooted in logic, magic, and honor. However, in the year 3000 of the Second Age, darkness returned to the world. Luna, the Goddess of Darkness, had somehow escaped the Nether Plane. Bent on fulfilling her fallen lord’s final command, she began her vengeance with the Eranorians.Driven from their homeland, the Eranorians fled across the sea to Araska, seeking refuge among their distant kin—who by now had changed. Time had eroded their bloodline and culture, and these once-noble people were now simply known as humans.
Reunited, the surviving Eranorians and humans prepared for Luna's onslaught. Together, they fortified cities and forged alliances, the most notable stronghold being the great city of Eranor—later renamed Fan'dori.
The war with Luna raged for three centuries, devastating the land and further diluting the Eranorian bloodline. By the time the final battle came, they were few in number—yet not broken. On the sacred site of Rainbow’s Hill, where the first rainbow was said to have touched the earth, Luna was banished once more to the Nether Plane. The victory, made possible by the legendary wizards Playmolas and Olörin the Wise, marked the end of the Second Age.
The Third Age and Beyond
By the dawn of the Third Age, the Eranorians were little more than a memory. Their once-proud bloodline had faded into myth, surviving only in stories—and perhaps in the veins of a few scattered kings. One of the last known lineages descended from the Eranorians was the Dragonspire family of Handrar. They ruled for generations before vanishing into legend. The last of their line, King Valdrin Dragonspire left Araska on a mysterious voyage and was never seen again. To this day, rumors persist of hidden enclaves, secret orders, and lost heirs of Eradoras. Whether these whispers hold truth or are merely tales for fireside telling remains uncertain.Description
Eranorians were tall and regal, averaging around 6 to 6.5 feet with lean, upright builds. Their skin ranged from pale ivory to light bronze, often smooth and seemingly untouched by age. Their most striking features were their glowing eyes—shimmering silver, gold, or deep sapphire—believed to reflect their affinity for wisdom, justice, or truth. The hair was typically ashen blonde, silver, black, or deep brown. Graying was rare, and many kept their hair long as a sign of respect for tradition and heritage. They spoke with calm, authoritative voices and aged slowly, often living up to 200 years. Their presence alone was enough to command respect, a legacy of their divine heritage from Eradoras.
