The Founding of Eranor
Before it became known as Fan’dori, the city was called Eranor, named after the Eranorians who chose to travel to Araska rather than journey to Lúrtieer during The Second Age. Built on fertile land near the sea, Eranor flourished as a center of trade, supplying fresh fish to the dwarves of Edaranas and Vanaheim. The Fall and Rebirth of Fan'dori
By the year 3000, Eranor faced an even greater threat—the return of Luna, Goddess of Darkness. Emerging from the Nether Plane, Luna unleashed her wrath upon Lúrtieer, massacring the Eranorians who had taken refuge there. Desperate to escape her fury, many fled to Araska, believing they would be safe among their kin.For centuries, Eranor became a battleground in the war against Luna’s forces. Repeated sieges and skirmishes left the city in ruins, its streets soaked in blood. The Battle of Rainbow’s Hill marked the turning point in the war, where the forces of light finally drove Luna back into exile. With the fighting over, the surviving Eranorians returned to their shattered city. In honor of General Fan’dori, one of their greatest commanders during the war, they renamed the city after him, marking a new beginning.
The Siege of Fan'dori
Fan’dori’s golden age ended with the Siege of Fan'dori, a conflict that shattered its stability. The once-mighty city, a symbol of unity in the north, was brought to its knees by invading forces. Though the defenders fought valiantly, the city suffered immense destruction, and its once-proud institutions crumbled. The Northern Council, once the city’s greatest ally, failed to provide aid in time, leading to bitter resentment among its people.Present Day
Now, Fan’dori is but a shadow of its former self. The city that once stood as the heart of the north is overrun with crime, corruption, and lawlessness. Political power is fractured, with the Northern Council struggling to maintain order. The Lower Circle, once a thriving marketplace, is now a dangerous place where smugglers, thieves, and mercenaries make their fortunes. Crime lords and guilds hold more influence than the city’s actual government. What was once a city of resilience has become a city of desperation. The Northern Council still claims loyalty to Fan’dori, but few in the city believe they can—or will—restore it to its former glory.
