Temple of the Devourer

A large looming temple to the Devourer. Those who call themselves acolytes inside practice horrific rituals, sacrificing parts of themselves to the maw that their altar has been built around. This maw leads directly to the Devourer's stomach, known as the Caustic Ocean. It's rare to find a direct connection to the Devourer, but the church is a trusted group for it, as they have been serving for many years. The temple is decorated with teeth of all kinds. The entryway resembles a giant mouth.   The temple is run by the Skingivers which is turn lead by Juma, a large troll with wildly powerful regeneration.   Under the temple is a dragon that can regenerate. The Skingivers have been harvesting the fundamentum of this dragon over and over for many years. They use the fundamentum either to enhance their magic, craft magical items, or as a large special offering to the Devourer. They stockpile these for use when needed. A number of people in both Feast and Famine know of this. Some of them attempt to steal them for their own uses, namely gaining entry into Famine, as the Faminites are always in need of new sources of intense magic. This is rarely successful, as the members will happily suffer heavy injury and risk death in defense of the temple and anything they see as valuable to the Devourer, knowing if they don't die they will likely be blessed and able to regenerate any injuries. Even those that die, die knowing their bodies will be given to the Devourer.

Purpose / Function

This is a place for the devout who follow the Devourer as a god to worship, and perform horrific rituals.

Architecture

It is built out of trash and refuse from the Dump with a mortar made from bones binding it together. Despite being cobbled together by random pieces, the structure is a looming sight, visible for miles away in the Flatlands.

Defenses

No significant defenses. The ones who reside there have always been able to handle anyone stupid enough to try and defile the temple of a near demigod in its own plane.
