Stand By You- DF

Devil's Food, the ship name for Seirixori Iscitan and Gunnloda Frostbeard, is the central romance plot of the campaign as both characters are in nearly all sessions of the game and Gunnloda is a central character in the overarching story of the campaign.

Plot points/Scenes

First Meeting

Session0004 (8:28): Gunnloda arrived in Bellbury and met Seirixori in the Moonstream Manor, sharing the news about the note she and Ravaphine had found.
(10:31) When they went into the dryad jungle, Gunnloda fell unconscious from a vicious attack to her neck, an attack that would be part of Seir's nightmare several sessions later, and Seirixori was the one to stabilize her after combat.
Session0005 (11:20): Seir hits Gunnloda with a Thunderwave.
Session0006 (9:29): Seir and Gunnloda both roll a zero on their stealth checks and bump into each other, drawing the undead closer.
(11:16): Gunnloda grabs Seir, afraid of being left behind. "Don't leave me, love. I can't see anything." "I'll stay near by, don't worry"
Session0009 (920): When Gunnloda appears in Serinar, Seirixori is excited to see her.


Session0098- Seirixori struggles with the knowledge of Gunnloda's situation, deciding after a discussion with Kendall that she needs to tell her soon.
Session0099- Seirixori and Gunnloda discuss what Takara told her about Gunnloda's situation and the potential of a poly relationships with Kendall.
Session0100- Gunnloda creates 45 pounds of food for the local community after Seirixori starts bonding with Valris and Family and encourages Seir to celebrate her birthday with them. (11:49) [H]eads back to Seir with a soft smile. She kisses the top of Seir's head, then leans down to say quietly in her ear, "We can go if you'd like... but they're about t'have the whole neighborhood gather t'eat, if y'reckon you'd rather celebrate here."

Later, on the way to Takara's temple, Gunnloda tells Seir, "well you're quite good with kids..." which seems to be a revelation to Seir.

Seir stops walking, tugging Gunnloda towards her as she kneels. "You know, had we not already been married, I think I would have asked you to tonight."
She chuckles and puts her arms over Seir's shoulders. "Is that so?"
"Mhmm." Seir leans in close so that their noses are touching, "It surprises me sometimes that it's possible to fall even more in love with you as time goes by."
She smiles and tilts her head up just enough that their lips meet in a long kiss. "'m glad y'had fun, even if y'couldn't have the family y'wanted."

Session0102- We already knew Seir really likes Gunnloda's new/old accent... what we didn't know was how much she'd like the assertion of power.

(9:12) Gunnloda's accent thickens and she sits up as she replies, "M'name's Lady Gunnloda Frostbeard of Bom Khorbor. If'n you'd like, I can take your name and speak t'the Lord of Iketria about how yer treatin' foreign dignitaries."
Seir's eyes widen and her jaw drops a little as she stares at Gunnloda. She breathes out a small "Whoa," as her eyes kind of dart between them.
He narrows his eyes. "You're royalty? In this dump?" He glances back at the man at the door and chuckles. "Right."
Seir tugs at Gunnloda's arm a little, pointing at her chest, where the crest lies, silently asking if she wants it.
She narrows her eyes at him. "If it weren't for people like you makin' my friends feel so unwelcome, maybe we coulda been in one of the nicer places in town... but if y'need proof... Darlin'?"
Seir tries not to grin as she undoes the top buttons of her armor and slowly pulls out the crest hanging around her neck.
He frowns with confusion at first, but when the Frostbeard crest is revealed, his eyes widen a bit.
Session0103- DF takes a pit stop during travel to chat about the outburst with Urrak earlier in the day and a few other things. (12:53) Gunnloda also asks Seir about whether Ascus is anything like Ardabeh. (4:07)
Session0107- Ry, Seir, and Gunnloda talk about Gunnloda controlling Ryleigh, and Seir takes care of Gunnloda when she collapses. (807)
