See You Again

Seirixori's mother disappeared during an attack when she was younger. Seir wants to find her and find out why she's been left alone all this time.

Seir asks Takara about who she is.     Session0099- Seir's trip to Ardabeh is postponed. Session0100- Seir spends her birthday in Kinetas instead of Ardabeh but at least she gets to talk to Takara.   Session0110 Rukiya's research doesn't turn up much new information. "All I can tell, for now, is that she seems to be working for the Queen of Air and Darkness. She's... a very powerful fey queen, powerful enough that she'd have to act through agents like the gods. Her specialties are murder, darkness.. and illusions. My best guess is that she's being affected by some powerful magic that's messing with her perceptions or her memories. Maybe both."

Structure

Exposition

Backstory- On the equivalent of 17 Gishmont 3Y49, Seirixori's Ardabaji nomad family suffered an attack. She fled at the command of her mother, Affyria Iscitan, as she heard someone looking for "The Shadow Walker," one of Affyria's names. When she returned, she found the camp slaughtered, the tail of Varun, and no Affyria. All that was left behind was a flag with a black diamond.
After burying her family, Seir spent several days, maybe as much as weeks, alone in the woods until she was summoned by the goddess Mielikki. Mielikki healed her, leaving a 'brand' of her symbol at her collarbone. She then took her to a druid encampment where she left Unastine to care for and teach her.
Session 11- Seirixori told Gunnloda and Urrak parts of her story, including that her mother is missing, that the druid clan isn't very nice to her, and that she talks to Mielikki.
Session 12- Takara first appears to Seirixori, in her halfling form. She doesn't reveal herself as such yet.
Session 14- After the snafu at the dragon temple when Seir was knocked unconscious, Takara reappears, implying that druid might be a poor choice of career for her. She offers a small bit of advice this time, telling Seir she should let people in.
Session 15- Seir offers more of her story to Gunnloda, Urrak, and Martyn.
Session 19- Seir asks Poni to scry on the owner of her mother's bow. Instead of seeing what she expects, she sees a ceiling, then a man being killed. The killer turns visible, an elven man slowly lowering his victim to the ground, then giving him a swift pat-down. Finding a key in his pocket, he slides a painting aside and opens a safe, taking the contents and fleeing through a window.
She returns to the grove where Takara appears again. She offers advice- be careful asking questions, you may not like the answers you find- then says that Seir is both "special" and "like family." She then reveals herself to be Takara, the goddess of nature in this area.
Session 20- Seirixori asks Gunnloda if she's ever spoken to a god and wonders why some would talk to her. Gunnloda says she's never spoken to one and replies that anyone who spends time with Seir would recognize that she's someone worth talking to.
Frustrated by Poni and the vision she saw and being pressured into carrying her bow, she throws Poni, inadvertently breaking one of the last crystals that powers him. Urrak snaps at her and Gunnloda pulls her aside to talk.
Session 21- Seir returns to Omubagi.
Session 24- Seir has a strange, terrible dream in Bleakmourne.
Session 27- Ravaphine scries on Seir's bow revealing a figure with a dark hood moving through an alleyway, following a second person. The second person taps on some bricks and the wall opens. The focus of the 'camera' writes a note down, then darts away, eventually revealing a human woman with short, black hair.
The group rescues Cae, but she's infected with lycanthropy, so Seir asks Takara if she can help. She explains that even her champion, Moki, couldn't help with it. She also explains that gods are limited on this plane in what actions they can take.
Session 31- Ryleigh and Seir discuss the fact that Seir speaks to gods with Urrak and Gunnloda.
Session 33- While playing Sad Flute Music after Gunnloda left, Ryleigh asks about her brand, then they talk about Misha and Gunnloda. Seir explains more of her backstory.

Session 46- Seir's life-changing field trip with Moki. While performing a service for Takara, Moki takes her to a cave for Stool then they have some trouble destroying quicklings. He answers questions and they talk for a bit before returning to Bellbury.
Session 51- Seir asks Takara to come to her wedding. She starts to ask if she's told her mother, realizes she couldn't have, then asks if Seir would like her to tell Mielikki.
~Session 54-56 Ryleigh uses her Divine Sense and senses not only Gunnloda's black aura, but Seirixori's pink.
Session 66-67- Lunitari's champion, the Veiled Maiden, calls Seirixori the infernal word for sister prompting a lot of conversation about Seir's heritage. Ryleigh tells Seir that her aura is pink- a combination of infernal red and celestial white.
Session 73- Seir asks Takara about who she is. Takara couldn't simply tell Seirixori things, knowing Mielikki didn't want her to know, but she decided she could answer questions asked. She explains that Seir not only bears the curse of infernal blood, but is a blessing of the divine as well. She implies that Seir's druid training was a choice made by Mielikki, not Seirixori, and then informs Seir that her mortal mother is in Halolis, in the shattered country of Shasem.

Rising Action

  In Session0100, Takara explains to Seir that Mielikki is not likely to be the person she wishes she could be. "I wish I could tell you that she asked me to wish you a good year... but I think you know more than you realize about her. You know she's not as... in touch with people as I am. She's far less connected to the material plane. I'm not sure she recognizes the passage of time and, honestly, I'm not sure she'd know many of you celebrate birthdays, let alone which is yours. I can tell you that she cares for you in her way, but her way is not yours and I don't want you to be disappointed by an image you've built up in your mind now that you know where you've come from."   Takara also told her that Mielikki expects Seir to one day return, regardless of any life she may build outside Ardabeh. "It's not a desire for you to return, but the knowledge or belief that you will. She has a purpose in mind for you and while she is happy that you are happy, it has no impact on that ultimate purpose."
