God of the Sun Lezantarus (a.k.a. The Griffon of the Sun)

He is the creature that lights the day around the world. As he flies around our plane, he blesses the world with magic from his rays. With a very dedicated religious following, he has yet to meet with his worshipers other then the Sun's Child.

Lezantarus rules over the Sun and it's solar magics. He is the physical manifestation of solar magic and has near perfect control over it.

Holy Books & Codes

Sun Rhymes: A list of poem verses that tell the story of Lezantarus and his Ten Principles of Light. They were made near the beginning of the founding of Lezantarus Grace as a way to spread his principles to the youth of the age. Now they are common household tales used for a variety of morals beside his principles.
The Eabenna: This codex is the main source of religious knowledge and practice. Created by the first Sun's Child, he wrote down the first and only words spoken by Lezantarus at the time. The original copy is broken here at the The Archives in Aulus (City) for safe keeping. However, copies are made daily to spread across the continent.

It's believed that it is the job of the followers to spread his words to all, no matter if they want it or not. This is because they are representatives of the sun and the sun provides light and prosperity to the world. You must be grateful for him and his gift. As a result, to return the favor one must teach, help, and love others, no matter their background.

Holidays

Lezantarus's Night: When the sky is lit up by the rays of Lezantarus can be seen even at night. Astrologists call this a lunar eclipse, but the religion believes this is attack and victory over his rival.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Lezantarus's goal has always to give light and warm to the people below. He would do this for all the people below, but he can only light parts of the plane at a time. This forces him to fly across the land into order to bring light to all.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Lezantarus has the appearance of what zoologists call a "griffon". His feathers are that of silver light and his fur that of the golden sun. As he flies through the sky, his wings shine like the light rays. Accounts suggest that he appears as a quadaped or sometimes even a biped. In either case, he wears togas wore by the ancients of old colored bright gold.

History

Historically, the two have been enemies for centuries, but recent research has suggests that this was mere rumor not based on fact. People who have directly talked with the god have stated that they two are close and that their magics require them to be at odds. Of course, this would indicate that the two are enemies by necessity then enemies by heart.

The two have worked to together when they can. Since Lezantarus is trapped within the Astralite Plane , it's difficult to interact with their chosen heroes. This results in Yenkisavias assisting in the physical world, while Lezantarus assists through magic and knowledge.
