Imaginaerium, Day 29 - Soooooooon

Dreams don't work unless you do.
Tomorrow is the big day. We're starting to come into the end sprint now. There's just 13 more prompts left to be uncovered - the celebrations at the end of the month are going to be real fun!

Book Recommendation

by Thomas Asbridge

By now the crusaders had christened the most powerful French catapult 'Mal Voisine', or 'Bad Neighbour', while nicknaming the Muslim stone-thrower that targeted it for conter-bombardment 'Mal Cousine', or 'Bad Relation'.
— Thomas Asbridge
The story of the crusades is a strange saga, with colorful characters, cruelty, strange side-stories and all kinds of misadventures. If you are looking to write something kind of like Game of Thrones, with power-plays, politicking, and nobles being real brutal bastards, its worth reading.   There's also another book I remember reading in my youth called The Crusades: An Arab Perspective, or something like that. I can't remember the author, but if you can find it, it forms the other piece of the puzzle.

Video Recommendation

And speaking of knights! Modern History TV has a whole series on knights, from their equipment to their daily lives to what they ate. A really interesting deep-dive into knighthood.

It might be - I remember finding it extremely fascinating, and pretty even-handed!
