Shadowfell

The Shadowfell is one of the two worlds parallel to the Prime Material Plane, the other being the Feywild It is ruled by the Raven Queen and is the birthplace of Leisl Siannodel.

Localized Phenomena

All across the Shadowfell, there are shadows that seem to move on their own accord and strange disembodied whispers. Creatures from the Feywild, such as Queen Qibynn, feel disconnected from the Feywild while they are in the Shadowfell. The people of the Shadowfell are notable for their expressionless nature. Their faces show no emotion, and those who leave the Shadowfell often have to learn to fake emotions to make people from the Prime Material Plane more comfortable.

Fauna & Flora

Shadows, Shades, and other shadow creatures are quite common in the Shadowfell. Everywhere you look, there are ravens flying around, most of which are in the service of the Raven Queen.

History

In 70 3E, Leisl Siannodel had a vision about the Harmonic Convergence and was sent to the Prime Material Plane to search for the Group of Elves that killed Waywocket the Wicked in order to find Blackrazor. After finding out Blackrazor had been stolen, and then having a vision of Blackrazor at the Obsidian Altar, she brought the group (the first half of The Chosen Nine) to the Shadowfell in search of Blackrazor.
