Seasons
Dear commitee of the esteemed Rox Guild, my name is Professor Tobias Seacaster and I have sent you this letter to report on this new phenomenon that had occurred this past month and a half. Without further quack and ribbit, let's get on with it.
Seasons
As you all noticed, these past few weeks an unprecedented snowstorm has befallen this newly found realm of ours, and as such I, a humble professor of the arcane arts, have taken the liberty upon myself to study this new Season. Yes, I call it season, because strikingly similarely as in the old world, this seems to me like an almost identical natural law, and with the following facts to support my claim, I suspect that we will indeed not plunge into eternal winter and succumb to the cold for all eternity.Observations
On the first day of the snowfall, I was out taking a stroll beyond the Worlds Edge, as one does, and as I experienced the almost instantaneous switch in climate, I observed the following things:The surroundings almost instinctively adapted to the change, meaning the flowers have begun to change their colors to better support the cold, thee trees have frozen over their leavers in a matter of thirty minutes or so, and the wildlife has begun to mutate as well.
As it happened, I came across a field of Bloodvines which looked nothing like their usual self only two hours after the beginning of the winter season. They became more vicious, slower but more deadly, and tried to spike me up like some traitors head on a woodend pole.
After that first encounter, I was intrigued and made some further expeditions into the now arctic snowy planes that are the village of Vaporios outer lands and found that almsot every species has mutated due to the sudden climate change, as if this was something totally expected for them. They also showed different behavioural and physical traits
Arcane Readings
Now the source of all of these seasonal changes I have discovered after conducting arcane research in my trusty laboratory. It seems that with all of the wild magic that this world is made out of, the four seasons have a preferred set of elements, and while the magic readings were all chaotic and almost indecypherable, one thing I can confidentally assess:Conclusion
So with this in mind, I suspect that the climate of Ignotas is highly irregular and there is no telling in how long one season lasts, or which one will come after the current one. And with a season comes change in the ecosystem, bringing a whole new set of seasonal species into this world.- Typical Spring
