Ch. 1, What we do here

If you are reading this, you are either a thief that wants to steal our secrets, or, more likely, a new hire in this facility. This handbook will detail what the Remote Research Base is, what you can expect working here and more information that is essential... or rather essential for us to mention in order to conform with legal.

Daily Tasks

Our main goal here is to further research in Long Distance technology. Since Ignotas is a world where magic is almost exclusively wielded through Artificats and Trinkets or other passively magical mediums, which have very limited range, we are on the forefront of extending that exact range. So we are responsible for everything from developing flying contraptions to remote communication, which you will now also be an essential part of. Depending on the current projects and your individual skillset, will you be recruited by a certain team to work on a specific problem. This entails theoretical calculations, practical experimentation and lots... and I mean lots, of failed attempts and destroyed equipment.

Ch. 2, A Little Bit of History

As we all know, acknowledging what cam before us will give us a good foundation to build the future... or something. So here is a brief overview of how this Research Base came to be.

Building Process

Remote Researching has been around since the discovery of Soulsilk and the pairing of two artifacts. Knowing that two trinkets can be linked together over a limited range sparked the construction of the Remote Research Base and the branch of Remote Engineers. The building naturally needed to look part, so architects were tasked with the goal to make the building resemble the research conducted within.

As like the previous facilities, we want this one to encapsulate freedom. It should convey feelings of borderless living. Can you do that?

Resulting from this request, a huge laboratory was made of huge marble pillars, solid chiseled bricks and carves out great halls of wisdom. Additionally, our landmark and identifying feature is the huge winged angel, sculptured and situated right at the entrance to this facility.
