Nature Spirit

We have gathered here today to come to a conclusion. The Gleamshroom vein in the northwestern quadrant is as even bigger than we thought. And with the sightings of these Nature Spirits comes the natural question of handling this matter.

Todays Agenda

is mainly concerning the Nature Spirit that inhabit the northeastern regions of the unknown Foreverglade. We have gotten word from a newly formed Soulventure, I believe their name was Last Whisper? They reported the first ever sighting of, to them normal, Nature Spirits. These spirits, much like those of the old world inhabit territory together and live their lives like normal civilized tribes would. We weren't able to get too much intel on their living state, probably due to some magical effects that obstruct our vision. The question for today however is: Based on the facts that we currently have, what is the next course of action regarding these beings?

What We Know

is that the Nature Spirits have at least a communicative amount of intelligence and are thus not regarded as Beasts and Monsters but rather Sapient Species and are thus to be treated accordingly. They posess high levels of magic and live exclusively inside the Fog. Based on these facts, I and my colleague assume that they would need the Fog to at the very least use their magical abilities, if not live entirely, so integrating them into our world would be highly tedious and would exhaust ressources to the point of unsustainableness.

Thus I move to rid us of this small tribe along the rest of the animals and mutations inside this sector of the Fog.

But Think About

the possibilities a cooperation with the Nature Spirits could have! We have already seen them being at least neutral and fighting side by side with our own, asking for help and at least exchanging a few words. If we could make a positive connection with them, even through the Last Whispers, we could enhance our entire society, the entire world with nature powered Machinery. Isn't this entire realm built upon taking chances? Risking things and taking the more dangerous route for a greater reeturn in the long run was always the way we did things. Why would we now change our philosophy just because we are well off at the moment?

If we pass this opportunity now, I guarantee you those generations after us will curse us into all eternity.

Appendix 1, First Contact: Mannerism and Speech

According to the reports of a recent expedition a group of Soulventure students departed on, among various other deeply horrifying happenings, a lot has been learned about the Nature Spirits on their visit.

The Nature Spirits are able to commune in the common tongue, as well as in elvish and its various sub-dialects. Their own way of speech however is said to be quite peculiar. They refer to themselves not as "I", but as their respective First Name. Additionally, they don't adress any other person directly, but as "<Something> One". So for example, should a nature spirit called "Gil" ask how a friend of a friend is doing, he would not say: "I was wondering how your friend Fierra is doing", but instead they would say: "Gil was wondering how Pouring Ones friend, Rascal One is doing". In this case, "Pouring One" is a person that runs a tavern and pours drinks, and "Rascal One" is the friend that always is out for trouble.

As for the Mannerisms of the Nature Spirits, they seem to not be bothered by any form of rudeness, such as bringing a sword to festivities or speaking plainly. They are pretty straight forward and as we read from the report provided, helpful.
